Appearance
Zorik is shorter than most Ferengi, but carries himself with a confidence that makes him seem larger in the room than he actually is. He dresses in expensive layered robes tailored with subtle metallic threading and deep jewel-toned fabrics designed to project importance.
His large ears are impeccably maintained and adorned with understated gold chain accents indicating his status within Ferengi commercial circles. His eyes are sharp, restless, and constantly studying the people around him.
His voice is smooth and theatrical, shifting effortlessly between charming hospitality and cold professional menace depending on the situation.
Personality
Zorik combines the charisma and humor commonly associated with successful Ferengi with the instincts of a seasoned negotiator. He is highly intelligent, perceptive, and patient. Zorik understands people exceptionally well. He studies body language, conversations, and emotional vulnerabilities with near-clinical precision. He rarely raises his voice, preferring to manipulate situations through implication, obligation, or carefully structured deals.
Unlike many Ferengi businessmen, Zorik genuinely enjoys diplomacy and cultural exchange. He views negotiation as both an art form and a strategic contest. He is especially fascinated by Starfleet officers, whom he admires and finds deeply irrational.
History
Zorik was born into a modest trading family on Ferenginar during the economic reforms that followed the rise of Grand Nagus Rom. Unlike traditional Ferengi businessmen who focused solely on acquisition, Zorik grew up during a period when Ferengi society began cautiously expanding its diplomatic and interstellar relationships.
As a young trader, Zorik operated small shipping contracts between Ferengi space and independent border worlds near former Romulan territories. These frontier routes exposed him to piracy, political instability, collapsing governments, and opportunistic warlords. While many merchants avoided such dangerous sectors, Zorik discovered he excelled within chaos.
Over time, his success eventually attracted the attention of both the Ferengi Commerce Authority and several influential trade consortiums.
Rather than becoming a traditional Liquidator, Zorik accepted a position within the Ferengi Trade Commission as a Commercial Attaché specializing in frontier economic stabilization.
Following increasing instability along several frontier sectors, Zorik was assigned as a civilian-commercial liaison to Foxglove Squadron.
