Rhia' Qergaj

½ Human & ½ Klingon

Rhia’s mother was an aide to the Federation Ambassador on the Klingon Homeworld. Her father is a bodyguard to the Ambassador of the Klingon Empire.

Her mother, Rhiannon Monroe, was a “true” redhead, in that her 1eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair were all of that deep red shade that was an anomaly even among Humans. Though she was a  diminutive at 1.57m tall and weighed no more than 57kg, Rhiannon could hold her own in almost any situation. She was 25 Earth years old. She was from San Antonio, Texas.

Rhia’s father, Chatak Qergaj, was made a bodyguard to the Klingon Ambassador, who took Chayak in as his ward before his Rite of Ascension. Chatak’s father was killed in battle. He had no other family who would claim him.

Mother died in childbirth.

Rhia’ is a half‑Klingon, half‑human cosmologist whose life has been shaped by the tension between two worlds: the Klingon drive for honor, intensity, and physicality, and the human inclination toward curiosity, analysis, and intellectual exploration. Her work in cosmology gives her a sense of order and meaning that neither culture fully provided. She studies stellar evolution, galactic structure, and the physics of early‑universe formation. This fits her because cosmology allows her to channel both sides of her heritage: the Klingon instinct to confront the unknown head‑on, and the human desire to understand it.

Rhia’s intensity comes from focus rather than aggression. Her Klingon heritage gives her a powerful presence, but she channels it into intellectual pursuit instead of combat. She is curious in a way that borders on obsessive, especially when studying stellar evolution or anomalies that defy known models. This works because it sets her apart from stereotypical Klingon portrayals while still honoring the cultural roots that shaped her.
