Alkos Reon

Alkos Reon is a Starfleet officer serving as the Second Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer aboard the USS Atlas. Known for his calm confidence and data-driven approach, Alkos combines sharp analytical thinking with an easygoing charm that makes him one of the most approachable senior officers.

Alkos Reon stands out among Bajorans for his secular outlook. Having grown up on Olbari, a Federation-sponsored colony for Bajoran refugees, he was shaped more by Federation ideals than traditional Bajoran customs. To him, the Prophets are “wormhole aliens,” a view that sometimes earns him quiet disapproval from more devout compatriots. His parents, survivors of the Occupation, once worried about his rejection of faith, but they came to respect his choice to chart his own path. This is a decision that Alkos carries proudly, symbolised by his choice not to wear the traditional Bajoran earring.

Sociable, laid-back, and quick-witted, Alkos is known for his approachable nature and easy rapport with others. He enjoys the camaraderie of the crew and believes that good humour and genuine connection are vital to a well-functioning starship. Beneath his casual exterior lies a deeply logical mind; he prefers evidence and data over instinct, and his calm, analytical approach has resolved many crises before they became problems. Outside of duty, Alkos embraces life with enthusiasm. A lover of music, he is a gifted singer and often hums as he walks the corridors, a habit the crew has come to recognise instantly. Fitness is a key part of his daily routine, and he’s a familiar sight in the ship’s gym or on the velocity court, occasionally joining Captain Corbin and Commander Nelson in their spirited matches. His time on Risa left a lasting impression on him; his open, easy approach to relationships and light-hearted flirtations has earned him a reputation as the Atlas’s resident charmer, though he wisely knows better than to turn that charm on his commanding officers.
