Summary
Commander Homel serves aboard the USS Vega, in the role of Chief Science Officer.
A brilliant geneticist with a proven track record in expedition field work, Homel is responsible for the overall management of the different science departments and personnel aboard the Lamarr – class Long – range Explorer.
The Vega’s mission to the Gamma Quadrant marks the Commander’s third 5-year deployment, having previously participated in two other deep – space missions to the Delta Quadrant. This will be Homel’s first visit to the Gamma Quadrant.
Appearance
Approaching his 50th year, Homel is an Orion male of medium build and height with a bald head and a well – tended white beard.
Personality
Highly intuitive and academic, Homel holds twin doctorates in Genetics and Theoretical Eugenics – the formation of life holds a deep fascination for this storied scientist and he encourages an collegiate working environment for the scientists under his charge.
A man who celebrates original thought and creative problem solving, Homel is well regarded by his teams and retains a keen interest in thier work.
