Jim Conrad

Jim Conrad is a tough Bostonian with a proud Irish heritage and CO of the Duderstadt – class fast cruiser, USS Speedwell.

Independently – spirited, Captain Conrad is a good fit to command a vessel that is often called to stray beyond the safety of Federation space to investigate any number of phenomena on behalf of Starfleet.

Although he runs a tight ship, Conrad presents a stable presences as CO and has a genuine interest in the wellbeing of his crew. He knows when to ‘gun’ and (more importantly) when to ‘run’, as his ship performs it’s mission of forward reconnaissance.

Jimmy Conrad grew up on Boston’s West – Fenway neighborhood and the legacy of that working – class upbringing are present both is his sense of durability and his wry Irish – led sense of humor.

As a CO, Jim runs a tight ship – but appreciates the value in letting his people prove themselves on thier own merits. Not a man to jump to rash action, he is fiercely loyal to his crew and will always give them the benefit of the doubt. Trust is a privilege that must be both earned and maintained.

Physically brave and mentally resilient, Jim is used to operating independently beyond the support of the Fleet.
