Bob Aldridge

Bob Aldridge is the avuncular and capable Chief Engineer of the USS Astute.

A veteran of the Starfleet Corps of Engineers, with thirty years experience under his belt gained through both shipboard duty and civil engineering projects in support of Task Force 72’s mission of Diplomacy and Humanitarian assistance.

Chief Aldridge expects much from the younger engineers under his charge, but is keenly devoted to developing thier professional acumen and encourages a collegiate atmosphere in his engineering – spaces.

Bob Aldridge is a ‘Mainer’ and speaks in the distinctive regional Midcoast accent and brogue (Bob would say that he is a “Mainah”) and like many New England inhabitants, he loves the sea.

Generations of Aldridge men and woman have served aboard trawlers and onto the stars and Bob is no exception – he’s always happy when he’s got something broken in his hands or some new technical challenge to solve.

A unselfconscious man, Bob will speak his mind – often to his detriment.

Off duty he’s gregarious and garrulous, with a rough easy charm and a love of good food and a beer. He is well – loved by the engineers that serve under him and makes it a point of pride to deliver for his CO.
