Summary
Thaddeus Samuels is a junior Security Division officer assigned to shipboard duty aboard the USS Athena.
In addition to his normal duties, Thad also serves as the Leader of the Hazardous Operations Response Team.
Appearance
A heavyset young African – American male in his early 20’s, Thad is athletic and well – built – standing 6 feet tall.
He has a shaved head and a neatly trimmed beard.
Personality
Thad is observant and tends to think before he acts – admirable qualities for both a Security officer and someone tasked to train and lead a Hazard Team.
He possesses personal bravery and mental fortitude, but secretly harbors a fear that his actions may result in the loss of a member of his team – thus he tends to be protective of his people and can exhibit annoyance if they fail to meet the required standard.
Off duty, he is the quiet person at the social gathering, but he is there nevertheless.
History
The USS Athena is Thaddeus’ first shipboard assignment. In addition to serving as a member of the Security detail aboard, he volunteered for service with the Teams and in a short time has progressed to the role of Hazard Team Leader for Hazard Team “Spartan”.
