Michael Volmann

Micheal Volman is Austrian by descent and was raised on the New Albany Colony on Eunicid #5 in the Laylis System. The third son of a successful family of Ranchers, like many Terran settlers in the Former DMZ, Micheal’s family have an uneasy relationship with the United Federation of planets and value their independence above all else.

So, when Micheal chose to break with tradition and join Starfleet, the reaction from his family was predictably terse.

Nevertheless, Micheal Volman is a man of principle and practicality and does not believe that problems are solved by denying what is difficult to accept. This has driven him to pursue a career as a Starfleet Security officer – as he views this calling is essential to maintaining order and providing all disparate parties the opportunity for discourse and consensus.

Micheal was brought up within a rancher – concern on a frontier world and this upbringing is typified in his confident and independent nature.

The tendency towards keen observation and the discipline to think before he acts has made Micheal as successful Security officer. Physically brave, he is a man of strong moral certitude – looking beyond petty dispute to consider the wider implications of people and their actions.

Off duty Micheal is polite and engaged but is a person that prefers smaller social circles or his own company and can seem standoffish at times (when he is just craving solitude).

He is happiest in wide, open spaces and always welcomes the opportunity to participate in Away Team missions.
