Summary
Hardcore, a little indimidating, and honestly? Quite dependable, Sylvester is an officer who walks with a purpose. He is currently the chief tactical and security officer–alongside being the commanding officer. It’s a badge he wears with pride and cannot to see what the future holds.
Appearance
Standing at a beefy 6’3, Sylvester is a lot of muscle. Compared to Kzinti in the past, he’s much more well built and active–his facial markings almost look like a crescent moon. He has dark red fur, glaring yellow eyes, and even has a bit of his left ear missing. Notably, he has a Russian accent.
Personality
Sylvester is very formal–to a point that all the tactical and security officers have great manners. If a “Yes, sir” military house could be embodied, it would be this man. Whilst his parents weren’t like that, it’s the only way he feels the tactical team would function well.
On the other hand, this man is petty. He’s rarely had to ever show it, but when he’s not being a great tac and security officer, he’s a bit of a sarcastic and rude asshat to the people he likes, and just straightup ignoring the ones he doesn’t like. Thankfully, he’s had no reason to be awful to anyone because he’s gotten along with the crew of the Morro Bay, and will actively attempt to talk too and understand his lower ranks. Godspeed, Sylvester!
History
Early Life
Born in Russia, Sylvester was smuggled onto earth by his parents for a better life when a cruiser came through. His mother stayed on the ship and was rushed to a hospital when she went into labor, and sadly didn’t survive. He was quickly taken in by two loving parents.
Growing up, Sylvester found himself feeling a little bit like the odd one out, but he was never outright an outcast. It just so happened to align well that he could always play a game on his own, or wasn’t invited to most things….
Yeah, he was an outcast. Besides this, though, the cat had a few friends. His biggest bullies? Caitians. Cause of this, Sylvester’s always had a bit of a…dislike towards them. (To put it lightly).
Starfleet Academy ( 2382 – 2386 )
Deciding that starfleet may be for him, Sylvester picked his butt up and walked straight into the academy to apply. He wasn’t the most defining and shocking cadet, but he was a phenomonal combatant. Come his reckless behavior getting quelled, AND the promise to one day be a great tactical officer, he’s thrown onto a few ships after he graduates to get it going.
USS Duchess ( 2386 – 2390 )
The USS Duchess was a weird time for Sylvester, being that as an ensign he couldn’t do as much as he wanted too. Despite this, the man helped where he could and did regular sparring classes with the Chief Tactical Officer. Miranda classes can only hold do so much, though. He got promoted for heroic or noble acts until being transfered in 2390.
USS Morro Bay ( 2390 – Present )
Riding out the rest of his starfleet career currently on the Morro Bay, Sylvester has very recently taken the role of Chief Security & Tactical Officer, holding the title for about a year. He’s proven very helpful–especially when it comes to security. He’s made sure every security and tactical officer under him knows some hand to hand combat, has taught the crew basic self defense, and made sure a LOT of people on the bridge have good aim. It’s only a matter of time before it has to be put to use.
He’s been chosen by Captain Jetta Dowe to be the XO of the ship as well–something he surely doesn’t mind handling. It’s surely a pick, but it seems to be working fine as of right now.
