Summary

No nonsense, very over it, and ready to chew someone out at a moments notice, Dr. Amira Sullivan has been the USS Morro Bay‘s Chief Medical Officer for quite some time. She’s saved countless lives, seen the most change happen out of the whole crew, and refuses to leave unless they drag her out of there.

She specializes in Anatomy, dedicating her life to not only medical science and technology as a whole, but determined to find as much research about every alien body she can. Dr. Sullivan could go onto larger ships, more people–hell, she’s old enough to retire and become a professor!–but she doesn’t. In her words, “I’m just fine on the Morro Bay, thank you.”

Appearance

Dr. Sullivan is 5’4, with a average type of body build. She has her hair always neatly cut off at the end of her neck, and doesn’t seem to care much for makeup. She always has a pocket full of candy (major sweet tooth alert), and consistently looks tired. All the time.

Personality

Dr. Sullivan is very….off and on.

When on the job and clock, Dr. Amira Sullivan is serious. She’s a hardass, doesn’t hesitate to scold even the Captain, and seemingly takes everything said very seriously.

Off the clock, she’s sort of a cool grandma type. Even when on the clock, Amira holds a sweet spot for her Ensigns–she cares about the lower deck medical officers a lot, and holds them close to her heart. At the end of the day, the good doctor cares–even if it may not seem like it.

History

2346

Dr. Sullivan’s home life is a bit simple. She’s the oldest of two, has a hard working set of parents, and rose up to the academy when she graduated highschool. In her words, it’s nothing remarkable.

Starfleet Academy (2364 -2368 )

During her starfleet academy years, Amira was actually a bit of a wildcard. Newfound freedom combined with a great time meant she found herself at parties and duly regretting it in the morning.

But, come sophmore year, she locks in and focuses more on her studies. Still a little bit of a wildcard and party go-er, but more focused on her studies.

Once graduated, she went straight into medical school to become a certified doctor and pursue anatomy.

Medical School & Starfleet Medical (2368-2382)

The bulk of her start in the medical field, Amira was hard focused on learning more about alien anatomy and the human body. Using this in her studies, she worked directly on better treatments for all when it came to injuries and conditions. Her goal was a starship: but not yet. First, using what she can provided at Starfleet medical.

Come 2382, Amira finds herself saying her goodbyes and making her way to the ship she’s always been on and will stay on: USS Morro Bay.

USS Morro Bay (2382 – Present)

Running on 18 years of service, Amira first joined the USS Morro Bay right when the current Chief Medical Officer was about to retire.

Throughout her times on the USS Morro Bay, Dr. Sullivan has done very incredible work–ranging from aiding and helping when attacked by enemies, and other such things. She’s been extremely helpful in second contact, woking hard with starfleet to start working on and creative vaccines for planets that may be prone to new diseases that come with joining the federation.

More notably, within her first few years, a lethal and very infectious virus swept over the ship. Thanks to Amira’s efforts, she saved not only her ship by eradicating the disease–but possibly all of starfleet, too. For her bravery, she was promoted. Shockingly, she turned down any offers to go anywhere else–instead insiting on staying on the Cali-Class. Nobody knows why she turned it down, but she’s insanely happy.

During Frontier Day in 2401, Amira was a part of a large team that aided in saving and de-assimilating people hurt and captured by the borg.

What is in her future is uncertain, but one thing is for sure: Amira isn’t leaving the Morro Bay anytime soon.
