Starfleet Career (2389-Present)

After graduating from the academy, Bowie was immediately assigned to work for Starfleet Intelligence at their location in San Francisco. He was offered a mentorship by a soon to be retired Intelligence Officer, Wyatt McCallister. Wyatt took a liking to Bowie and showed him the ins and outs of working for Starfleet Intelligence. He spent most of his time listening to recordings and conversations sifting through details that might lead to the discovery of enemy involvement on Earth.

Bowie loved his work and used his relationship with Wyatt to become one of the best Starfleet Intelligence Officers of his age. Although he loved what he did, the ache to join a starship crew and journey amongst the stars still lived within him. After Wyatt’s retirement, Bowie requested assignment aboard a starship and he was reassigned to Starbase Echo. He was informed that this was to help him acclimate to life in the stars. He performed the same type of work aboard the Starbase as he did at Starfleet Intelligence Headquarters in San Francisco.

After two years of service on Starbase Echo, Bowie’s request was finally granted and he was assigned as an Intelligence Specialist aboard the USS Birmingham. Bowie was highly regarded amongst the crew members and saved them from Diplomatic disasters a few times during his time of service aboard.

However, Bowie began to lose his desire to serve Starfleet Intelligence and wanted to utilize his tactical skills to help Starfleet in a different manner. Bowie made the transition from Starfleet Intelligence to Tactical Officer. He served as a Tactical Officer aboard the USS Santa Fe for two years before being promoted to the Chief Tactical Officer aboard the USS Sausalito.
