Leria Varel

The Chief Operations Officer and second officer of the USS Scylla, Commander Varel is a calm and warming presence on an assignment known for its fast-changing and challenging missions. She is a consummate organiser who keeps the ship’s affairs ticking as smoothly as a Swiss watch, but pairs this with a ready smile and quick wit. As the newest member of the team’s senior staff, never serving with Captain Borodin before coming to the Scylla, she is still finding her feet with her colleagues, particularly in when they will or won’t appreciate humour in a grim situation. But rather than some irreverent joker, Varel is a professional who knows how to lighten the mood, and expects to soon have her management of the crew’s emotions ticking as smoothly as their resource allocation.
