Maya Sirona

Commander Maya Sirona is the Executive Officer of the USS Juno. Once a young up-and-coming strategic operations officer, she found herself assimilated by the Borg Collective early in her career. Her time with the Collective did not last long though, as the Probe-class scout ship she was stationed aboard suffered a submatrix malfunction, and she entered regenestasis for a period of several years before being discovered by a Starfleet team. Interest in xBs was heating up due to the recent discovery of the Artifact in Romulan space, but this discovery offered Starfleet an opportunity to conduct its own research. Ultimately, Sirona was stripped of the majority of her Borg implants and reintegrated into Starfleet, learning to leverage her collective experience as a benefit rather than a disability.
