As the ship comes out of warp, we see Framheim Station come into view. The bridge is very busy with Simon and Aurora preparing steps for the crew to have them not notice that they have a larger cargo hold to carry more supplies and cargo for the Federation due to the Bakersfield just showing up out of the blue. As they approach the station no scans or nothing happens just a hail. “To the ship approaching, state your business, we are to busy to talk. ”

Simon paused at that hail and answered “This is USS Bakersfield, wanting to refresh ourselves and head into the Shackleton Expanse.”

Framheim responded “Come on and dock and we refresh your ship for the trip into the Expanse, would you like us to beam or shuttle supplies?”

Simon said, ” We’ll send coordinates for our cargo hold. USS Bakersfield out.” Nodding toward Aurora after they turned the viewscreen off, Aurora went down to the cargo hold to receive supplies from Framheim.

Aurora finally reached the cargo hold and supplies was beamed aboard as they docked at the 12th berth. Back on the bridge, Simon was just getting ready to head to the transporter to transport when Sam put herself in gray alert mode and started to go to sleep since it’s been a while since she last slept.

While Sam was in lower power mode, Naz decided to go to the station and look around with the captain. As Naz and the captain made their way to the transporter, Naz and Simon started discussing ship operations and security. “Security is fine right now.” Then got on the transporter pad with the captain and beamed aboard. Meanwhile Sam just turned security up so she can rest and only the captain and executive officer can wake her up. As we see Naz and Simon beam aboard the transporter, we go to the main computer core where Sam is living and see nothing but a computer core and decks worth of computing computers as they power down. On the outside of Bakersfield we see a shadow of a former ship as it’s powered down leaving only the nacelles at almost dark and everyone inside the station doesn’t notice where it’s at berth 20 in the center of the station. As the lights dim on Bakersfield we come to the station.

Simon and Naz just beamed over to the station and started going about their normal business and some pointed out Naz did look different but no one cared, which made Naz pause for a nanosecond. As Simon sets at a bar, Naz seems to wonder off. Simon orders a bluish yellow liquid and then we turn to Naz.

Naz breaks off from the captain and starts down to astrometrics where he downloads the rest of the navigation for the known Shackleton Expanse  and then proceeds to beam back aboard and uploads but can’t due to Sam being asleep. Naz tries to wake her but can’t do to a soft voice saying in a yawn, “Go away, I am sleeping. Wake me up when I am needed again.” Naz then puts the pad in Aurora’s office.

2B at this time is going to the sensors to recalibrate them for the detection of the Shroud and to make sure Sam has better eyes since the resolution of the last scan wasn’t good enough for her. As she made her way to the sensors Sam was powering down which didn’t bother her, she didn’t need to breathe and meant the captain and executive where off Bakersfield and the crew can have a sort of shore leave. “10 can I have some power to sensors.” she asked on the way. As she started working, she notice she got little power more from 10 and it was what was needed to work on them.

10 on the other hand had his hands full when Sam shutdown, he had to divert power from life support on decks where it wasn’t needed and route to where it was because wherever the captain and executive was life support was needed. Anyone else just didn’t breathe except him and 5 was the other 2 needing oxygen and Sam always had ample oxygen for them like she was trying to hurt them but during the voyage., it changed.

5 was in medical bay ready to have her and the other 3 needing medical supplies and told Aurora to make sure some was ready. She did remember that as the ship came to a halt and Sam started powering down she went into her alcove to rest since she wasn’t needed right now.

Aurora was on the way to the larger cargo hold, she decided to stop for coffee and it messed up and gave her hot milk which she then promptly “10 there is something wrong with the replicators on 4 deck that is right beside the cargo hold.” she said. Then she entered the cargo hold and started the procedure to beam supplies on board as the power went down she had enough since it was the station beaming supplies to them. The robots in the room will move cargo to where it’s needed she just needed a place to ponder the disappearance of the outpost all of sudden. “Ready to receive supplies Framheim.” Supplies started beaming aboard and she got the robots working on the cargo and sorting them out by importance to the crew to food and other stuff. Then she put the cargo transporter back on automatically for Sam to help later when she awakes.

Simon just started talking to the bar attendant asking about what he heard about the expanse. Simon then goes back to the Bakersfield. “Aurora it’s your turn for shore leave once I am back on.” Then as Simon reaches the transporter, “We are ready to go captain I will get shore leave next time.” Then Simon beams aboard.

Aurora then heads to the bridge to get ready to set sail for the unknown. With the ship powered down still, Aurora gives the command for Sam to wake up and prepare all moor lines to be let go on the captain’s command. Sam wakes up and outside of the ship we see it slowly come to life as the warp drive goes from standby to fully powered in a matter of minutes. “Simon to Aurora go ahead and tell Sam to take us out and plot course for Shackleton Expanse let me know if I am needed.

Captain’s log stardate 79908.5

Today was a long day compared to the week my crew has had. We lost the outpost 44403 and it hit me hard. Aurora seems fine but I feel she isn’t telling me something or doesn’t care. I was easily put on this assignment where I was beside Sam the whole time on her 18th iteration since they first conceived her. Outpost 44403 was a research outpost and then they got this California class wrecked and the name was scrubbed off. So without the outpost to refuel and resupply we are heading where Stark said to at first. The ship is still holding it’s secrets with the outpost gone we have to find them. The crew knows we are on a rebuilt Cali class starship and the ghosts of old might start showing there face if we don’t work out the quirks soon.

Simon makes his way to the bridge and nods at Aurora.

“Everything good Aurora?” said Simon.

Everything is great Simon. ” said Aurora. Both not being truthful at this time. It seems the Shackleton Expanse has one more mystery headed it’s way.
