During the movement out of space dock which is not what people in Starfleet call space dock more like a outpost dock with inner workings of a space dock to work on space ships. Simon loved his new posting. It seemed to be nothing but a miracle for the ship he saw built within a year without no name on what happened and what battle it took place in. He was at outpost 44403 and nothing in Starfleet would of prepared him for the first warp of his new vessel that he commanded.

Samantha was just cruising with USS Bakersfield and keep tabs on impulse drive when Simon said “Time for warp 2 Sam.” So Sam got on the horn and started the warp drive while in engineering 10 of 80 was getting ready to make sure the imbalance in the intermix ratio was perfected then he noticed powering up warp core, so he quit his experiment. and went into simulation mode. His simulation mode didn’t interfere with the rest of the ship so no one noticed. During this time the ship was in warp 2 heading to Draken. It was to be a short cruise for the crew but something happened during it.

Simon said to 10 “What is happening with warp drive, we are speeding up.” 10 replied “Sir, something is making it overpowered and I have us at warp 1 to maintain the warp bubble anything else I don’t know.” Simon furious said “ You don’t know or won’t tell me.” 10 repeated “SIR, I don’t know.” My calculations we should be going warp 9 but we are not. Simon is now even more furious and shouted “Sam, stop the ship safely for us Now.” “Simon to 10 try stopping the ship.” but nothing was working for them. Then the ship stopped at Darken and the outpost came into view. Simon and Aurora just stared into space the outpost was gone. What had happened to it? There was no debris field or anything just nothing but space.

Simon said to 2B “Scan for anything that can tell us what happened to the outpost 44403.” 2B started scanning and scanning and scanning but her results was inconclusive. “Simon the only thing I found was a spec of hull, like it was left here on purpose. It had residue of a string like in string theory something that sets off one motions the other into existence. Other than that my results are inconclusive.” she said to Simon. Then where are we to refuel at the Shackleton Expanse Simon thought to himself. No one knows about the USS Bakersfield been a AI ship at all and they have to find outpost 44403 one day or what’s left of it.

“Sam what is happening?” said Simon.

Sam answered “programmed to head to nearest system which is the Draken system to find a old friend.

Simon answered “Who!”

Sam answered “My programmer, Stark Dien.”

Simon said “Let’s go see what is happening then.”

As the Bakersfield makes it way to  we Simon prepare. Aurora on the other hand is getting ready to talk to Simon about why he think the outpost disappeared on the way.

Simon says ” Unknown at this time we just got to go to the Shackleton Expanse, so that we go far enough away after Draken while we explore and refuel at the station there.
