Clacking sounds of rapid feet work through the hallways, as shouting goes in a pair. “Take cover!” A female voice states as bolts of fire and Klingon shouts are heard from the other side. “Get in position, ready to push!”  The woman barks the orders out as if it is her second nature. The tension was high, the heat of the plasma bolts passing over her head could be felt. She waited for something, anything….there it was,“ Return fire!” As the Klingons were forced to reload, it was the opening they desperately needed.

With key precision, the security team takes out the enemy forces and force their way to the front, taking back a key location that Wakefield required. She looked pleased as nodded to the other team members as a familiar voice pierce into their ears.

“Seven minutes and 17 seconds” The Efrosian female stepped out of the dark and sees the holographic Klingon bodies disappear, created by the computer to simulate the intensity of a real Klingon battle. “2 minutes slower, Ensign Eders, but you are making progress.” Her posture remains calm, but the flare of her personality is shown in her character. “Next team, get ready for anti-boarding drill now!”

“Thank you, Lieutenant Zhex” The young woman replied, walking to the sideline.

Nodding to the young Ensign, as Kaelin walked about into the shadows looking out the window at the hazy stars that were visible while the Wakefield pushes through the Grim Wall. The recent events made her brain pulse back to the moments of the Vaadwaur, the house raids and the ghost that hunt them during the Blackout. She taps the side of the window, not her focus broken,“ Hold the formation, but how long until this convoy formation will be broken?” She mutters and took a deep breath “Computer start the drill” Klingon shouts fill the silence again.

Engineering

Meanwhile, the engineering was humming in a rhyme that was like a concert that in tune was with her surrounding. Just the way that the young Andorian liked, his antenna to a certain direction that made him shift attention “Come on beauty, you can do this” Arix might be fresh as the new Chief Engineering Officer, he definitely knew what he was doing. Inspecting the field modulation systems, he was quite focused on what was happening to every sensor in that system.

“Lieutenant, I do have concerns over these drift anomalies, these so-called energy ghost” Ensign Talek might be young, but his Vulcan feature do shine.

Looking back at the Vulcan, Arix smiles, “Engineering Officers do not fear ghosts. It prepares for what we can measure” He gets up from his kneeling position checking the console, “In other words, we need to prepare for what we see in the Grim Wall and eventually in Klingon space. I will get these configs ready, you start logging sensors for potential new radiation bursts that can hit us when we enter Klingon space”.

“Yes sir, that sounds logical” He nods, walking back to his station.

Astrometric Lab

Alone and perhaps isolated, surrounded by the stars and astrometrical objects in the form of a holographic projection. Vera, the Denobulan Chief Science Officer, stood at the console typing. She was comparing the recent subspace readings that Saturn’s shared data. Tapping on the console as a Klingon burst echo is heard and seen in the projection, “Gotcha….” The red light reflects in the woman’s eyes. “Just need to note the extra harmonic layers”  Nodding to herself.

“Starting the cross-checks now” Vera uses the ship’s systems linguistics to structure the resembles of Klingon mourning chants and the pre-duel laments. Nodding to herself as the information slowly pours in before her. The summary was not spot on or rather vague over the focus of these Klingons bursts. “Is it a day of grievance or a good day to die” Vera shrugs wondering what she is looking at, cultural noise or coded signal?.

Taking a deep breath, “I need more material, I better signal Saturn to keep their ears open” She adds the mention in her report that she is preparing for Captain Davince, but holds on the report for now. Vera is unsure in this time, and their current position to cause alarm is validated.
