Location: USS Oakland, Chief of Security Office

Stella was sitting in her office, thinking about an encounter he had not too long ago with a chief operations officer aboard the USS Paso Robles. She found herself Mildy amused by him. Which caught her a little off guard because she wasn’t looking to be amused by any man.

He had come aboard her ship not too long ago, helping with some of the logistical supply runs from the star base. At first she thought it was just maybe a mild and annoyance of a crush or at least having the hots for somebody as they used to say in the old days.

At first glance he didn’t seem like much, but he was nice and polite he had a beautiful smile on his face but she wasn’t looking for any of that so why would she thinking about him. She wonder if she just got caught up in the moment and feeling a little vulnerable and maybe that’s these feelings with subside. However they didn’t and they are now haunting her, haunting her in a good way but haunting her nonetheless. She didn’t like being haunted by her own feelings, and she couldn’t ignore them and she knew that.

Stella wasn’t certain but she couldn’t shake that feeling that maybe there’s something to him and next time that she can get a chance to, maybe she can reach out to him. But how is she even do that, what kind of excuse would she make up. And more importantly would either remember her, and is even interested in her.

Stella was uncertain in her own fears are starting to get to her, which is a little strange because typically as the chief of security she has no fear she has nothing that she can’t confront. but when it comes to her heart apparently she does have something to fear and she does have something she doesn’t want to confront necessarily only because she doesn’t want to be rejected.

So far in her life she had never been rejected, and the relationship she did have that ended they all ended on her terms. Most of the guys pursued her, but she was seriously considering about pursuing him, which was unlike her.

She kept going back and forth debating if she should pursue him or she should just let it go. The other thing she had to take into consideration is how often would she see him. How often would they be able to see each other or communicate with each other? There are too many uncertainties for her liking.

She had to get up and do something, this was distracting her too much. She looked at the roster he could tell that there was really nothing much to do. Which is annoying because she wanted something to distract her so she decided to make something up, she decided to do an inventory of all the rifles and she was going to do a by herself..

She walked over to the armory and I’m locked the doors, and then started opening up all the trays she had a data pan in her hand and she started going one by one verifying each rifle was where I was supposed to be. She made sure to take her time on this because she has a downtime and her reports were all caught up.

Has she started verifying the serial numbers of the weapons to what was on the data sheet she started thinking more and more about him again. The one thing she was hoping that would get her away from her thoughts, thus was just dragging her more into her thoughts.

She kept telling herself this is ridiculous, but the more her subconscious started to seep in advising her that she needed to resolve this. She debated about calling it but she had no idea what she didn’t call him about. And calling saying hey I like you I thought we had a moment might just be too aggressive and might scare him away.

That was the last thing she wanted to do, scare him away. But she knew she had to do something soon ain’t she knew that her consciousness wouldn’t allow her to rest until she did.

She decided after her rifle inventory count, that she would probably go and talk to a friend and see what they thought, maybe they would have an idea about how to reach out to him and try to talk to him. She started to debate the maybe her mind was starting to jumble around a little bit because of the fact that Mika and Katie and her and Sotti hello sir talking about relationships and wanting to find happiness. Currently all four ladies are single.

And she knew as soon as she met Andrew that there’s something different about him. But at first she was able to blow it off but the more that the days went by the harder it was for her to blow it off, and she still felt some kind of weird connection to him. She wondered if he felt the same.

Why does she feel like she’s a little middle school girl again, and crushing on her first crush so hard that it paralyzes her. That’s how she felt at this very moment.

“She knew she needed to get over this and to reach out to him, she convinced herself that soon as she was done she was going to talk to her friends and then probably call him. She hoped her friends are on her side and with support her decision even though I seemed a little reckless and foolish.

For the next 2 hours she continued working on the rifles and inventorying them against the database, and the whole entire time she kept thinking about him and even though they’re encounter was small she felt a certain spark to him. She knew she needed to talk to him because it was consuming her mind at this point.

Luckily though over those 2 hours a couple Junior officers tried to come in and help her with the inventories and she shoot them all away, telling them that she has this and that if they needed a project she would really find it when they quickly left because they none of them wanted to scrub decks.

She started thinking about other things she could do to try to fill in these two hours, that was also going to be the end of her shift and she wanted to make sure she had plenty of time to complete this assignment because she had a feeling that tonight with either going to be the happiest moment of her life or it was giving me the saddest moment in her life either way she would need her friends and probably a bottle to either drink to the success or drink to hide the pain. Either way alcohol would be involved later on tonight.

After 2 hours the armory inventory was now complete and she put away all the rifles and she even managed to clean up the area and wipe it down. Mainly cuz she was looking for something to do and to keep her in mind distracted which turned out to be a total failure but in a good way she though
