Location: USS Paso Robles, CO Quarters

The Paso Robles was now on course for her next mission, she was heading to Starbase Bravo to Rendezvous with the USS Oakland, a shift that had definitely seen Frontline actions during the skirmish with the Vaadwaur Supremecy.

The Oakland had just completed her repair and retrofit. That was one of the beautiful advantages of commanding a California class ship repairs didn’t take very long. The ship was being restocked and recreated because the former crew had moved on to a nebula class starship or so Renato was advised.

Renato need a little bit about the new commanding officer. Captain Byron Coleman was her new Commanding officer. He was a very well established Starfleet officer, had been formally a part of the fourth lead in the past and now he was coming back as a commanding officer in the fourth Fleet.

And he was also married to Commodore Elsie Coleman who was there commanding officer. She was the Overwatch Logistics Support Commanding Officer.

Byron wasn’t the only one when family on board a ship or in the division. His own family was on board today. His wife Rosa was the head chef but their children were here as well, now that the hostile situation had resulted so they were allowed to come back aboard the Paso Robles.

Renato was happy that Ariana and Candelaria were both back on the ship. “Mija’s hurry up we’re going to be late for breakfast.” Renato said with a sense of urgency, and then he went on. “You know Mama doesn’t like it when we’re late.”

“Dad I need 5 more minutes,” Candelaria called out if she continued to brush her hair as she looked out trying to persuade her father by poking her head out of the bathroom area. Her eyes are practically begging for 5 more minutes.

“You said that 20 minutes ago, mija it’s time to go now.” Renato insisted as he continued to pace back and forth towards the entrance.”Ariana helper get out of there.” Renato insisted.

“Dad, do I have to? I don’t know if I can listen to the nagging.” Ariana said with the disappointing look on her face.

“Mija go tell her.” Renato suggested as he pointed with his hand. Ariana reluctantly went in there and then practically dragged her sister out.

“It’s not my fault my hair looks like a mess today, this could start a ship wide crisis you know.” Candelaria pointed out to him, she was slightly annoyed cuz she wanted five more minutes to do her hair it just wasn’t sitting right. She still had the brush on her hand if she continue tried to combing her hair back to make it more smooth and more shiny and to get rid of any knots.

“Let’s go.” Renato said as he started a motion both girls to walk out and head towards the mess hall.

Location: USS Paso Robles, Mess Hall

Candelaria and Ariana both avoided their mother like the plague, they could tell she was in a mood because of the way she was barking out orders she was in the middle of her breakfast rush. They quickly grabbed their trays and basically dashed into the captain’s private mess. Renato try not to laugh, he knew that Mama wasn’t going to be happy that they were late to breakfast.

Rosa gave him a look, and he smiled back and nodded yes. They are basically saying without communicating that they were late because the girls were dragging their feet.

He grabbed his tray of food and then went into the private Captain’s mess, he knew that Rosa would come and visit them when she could.

“Oh thank God it’s just you.” Candelaria said if she saw her father walk into the captain’s mess.

“Don’t think you won, she saw you guys.” Renato suggested as he looked over to Candelaria and then over to Ariana.

“It’s not my fault she was late I was ready to go.” Ariana tried to explain to her father.

“You’ll have to take that up with your judge, and you better hope he’s in a good mood today.” Renato said in the key thing voice.

Ariana just gave a puzzle look on her face, thinking that wasn’t really fair but she understood what he meant.

“Come on father you can put in a good word for us, you didn’t want me going out with my hair looking like a tornado ran through it did you?” Candelaria try to plead with her father.

“If you wouldn’t procrastinated for almost 45 minutes trying to get out of bed you would have had plenty of time to do your hair.” Ran out to simply explain to his daughter.

“That’s just not fair father, you know I require my beauty sleep.” Candelaria pointed out to him, still trying to clean to some desperate hope of getting out of being in trouble.

“You know what they say if you do the crime you got to do the time, I’ll try to protect you but it’s your mother after all.” Renato suggested to his daughter.

“Please try Father, I don’t want to be grounded.” Candelaria said, she gave him a desperate look and pleading eyes.

“Me too father please I don’t want to get in trouble for candelaria’s bad choices.” Ariana suggested to her father.

“You guys need to understand, I’m just the captain of the ship she’s in charge of the family.” Renato suggested to them, saying he’s only going to help him as far as he could but he wasn’t going to cross mama.

“That’s right father you are the captain, and you should be able to tell wife what to do.” Candelaria said they’re going to grave for herself.

“I would drop to sassy attitude, it’s not going to help you. You know darn well mama is not somebody you mess with.” Renato suggested not liking her sassy attitude.

“I don’t understand the point of always having to be punctual, it’s not like school doesn’t start for another hour.” Candelaria said again not agreeing with her father.

“You can’t win this one sis, why are you trying to provoke father? Bad enough mom’s going to be upset at us. And I didn’t do anything wrong.” Ariana suggested with the disappointing look on her face.

“Oh great now you’re taking his side, you’re supposed to be on my side we’re sisters.” Candelati appointed out to Ariana.

“Dad, this isn’t fair I don’t understand why I have to be punished for her insubordination.” Ariana said getting a little annoyed at her sister and look into her father to try to resolve this.

“I’m done with this conversation, eat your breakfast you’re here there’s no reason to keep dragging it out. I don’t think you really want mama coming here even more upset that you do you!”

“No.” Candelaria said in Ariana sugar had no as well. Both girls had a sad look on their face, they hope that Mama would have been any good mood. They know that mama sees everything. It was really annoying how well she saw things even when they thought she wasn’t able to know. Maybe has something to do with the fact that she was a chef and people told her things that they shouldn’t have. Thanks like when the girls misbehave and they didn’t want to get in trouble for it. They start eating the food that was provided to them. The scene starts to fade away.
