Olivia stood at the head of the sleek conference table in her ready room, exuding a confidence that resonated throughout the space. The room was filled with her dedicated crew, each member focused and ready for the task at hand. “Alright, as you all know, we have a critical mission to transport Ambassador Snow to the Embassy on New Romulus,” she announced, her tone commanding attention.

Kate, sitting to Olivia’s left, leaned forward, a spark of enthusiasm in her eyes. “The journey is projected to take just a few days,” she noted, her fingers gliding across her PADD as she reviewed the mission details.

Olivia nodded, her expression sharp. “I trust everyone has thoroughly reviewed the files I sent regarding the ambassador’s profile and potential security challenges?” Her gaze swept the room, gauging the readiness of her team.

Every crew member returned her gaze with a resolute nod, confirming their diligence. Dersch, the chief of the Security and Tactical department, spoke up with unwavering confidence. “I’ve already assembled the security team you requested, Captain. Just give the call, and they’ll move out immediately.”

“Excellent,” Olivia replied, her voice steady and authoritative. “Commander Townsend will lead the team. I want a medical officer attached to the detail to ensure we’re fully prepared for any unforeseen situations…” She turned to the Chief Medical Officer, Lillian Hansen, whose focus was entirely on the mission.

“With your approval, I’ll assign one of my top medical officers to the shuttle bay, ready to respond at a moment’s notice,” Hansen affirmed, her determination evident.

“Perfect. And Dersch, you’ll be part of the security team as well,” Olivia concluded, locking eyes with him, instilling confidence in their combined efforts.

Dersch acknowledged the directive with a firm nod.

Kate then interjected enthusiastically, “As soon as we drop Snow off, we’ll take the old pirate shuttle we recovered. Our Chief Engineer has made some upgrades. I’ll announce the team to meet in the shuttle bay as soon as we’re ready to depart.”

Dersch flashed a grin. “Copy that. So, are we approaching this mission as Starfleet officers, or are we adopting our pirate personas?”

Olivia laughed, the sound sharp and decisive. “We’re going as pirates. Make sure the team gathers appropriate attire for the role. If needed, replicate outfits to suit the occasion.”

At that moment, Hansen’s brow furrowed slightly as she spoke up. “Captain, I tried to access the ambassador’s medical records for safety protocols, but they’re locked. I couldn’t retrieve any necessary information.”

Olivia met her gaze, her expression unwavering. “You’re not alone in this, Commander. I have a connection in command who is retrieving all available information for me. Once I have the medical details, I’ll get them to you without delay.”

“Thank you, Captain. I’ll stand by for that information,” Hansen replied, her resolve palpable as she prepared for the challenges ahead. The atmosphere in the room was charged with readiness, and Olivia could feel her crew’s determination to meet the mission head-on.
