Happy December, Bravo Fleet!
As we come to the end of an exciting year, the Bravo Fleet Admiralty wishes to thank each and every one of you for your commitment and participation in this fine community. Bravo Fleet has come a very long way in the last 12 months. The fleet isn’t just better for it. It is thriving! None of this would be possible without each and every one of you, and we applaud you for everything you have done and written.
The BFA is pleased to make a couple different announcements today. First, we are excited to announce that our Constitutional overhaul is complete. Recently, we finished and posted our changes to Articles III and V. Without going into major detail, there are three major updates that you, as our membership, need to be aware of:
- the BFA has voted to keep the Bravo Fleet Command Council (BFCC) as the permanent chair of the Fleet’s Leadership;
- the final references to the long-defunct JAG office have been removed; and
- the CO’s rights to promote players have been adjusted, allowing them to promote players as high as Commander without TFCO approval.
With these changes complete, the BFA has now turned its attention to the By-Laws to continue the procedural overhaul. In accordance with Article V, Section 2.4.1, a Public Docket is now also publicly available.
Also, in keeping with the full adoption of the BFCC, the BFA held its elections for the 2018 year. Of the three existing members of the BFCC, JonM has decided not to run for 2018 while aio and greenfelt22 were re-elected. Alexander , the TFCO of 9, was elected to fill the spot vacated by JonM and will take office on January 1, 2018.
The BFA have great expectations for the Fleet for 2018. A great many things are coming in the next year, including heavy revamps to the Academy, improved services, new BFMS features, and most importantly, much more fantastic writing from all of you.
Thank you for making Bravo Fleet the best place for Star Trek simming on the internet.
