Bravo Fleet
Greetings Task Force 25 and Bravo Fleet!
This is one of the first announcements I’ve had the pleasure of pushing out since opening Task Force 25, and I couldn’t be happier for the occasion. This announcement will serve as a somewhat different type than normal, I’ll be giving you a brief rundown of how your activity is tracked across the fleet, and a brief explanation of the current and ongoing canon in the Task Force.
Activity Monitoring:
- On April 25th, having a BFMS account with at least one character in the system is a requirement of membership in Bravo Fleet. Game managers, please make sure that every player on your game has a BFMS account, and that their characters are registered and part of your roster.
- Everything you do across the Fleet will count toward your activity. Please use the BFMS activity reporting system to manage that, and enter it across the Fleet.
- Based on your current “time in rank” The Task Force staff will be updating your records intermittently (my goal is once per month at minimum). While this doesn’t seem very often, the idea is to minimize the amount of trickle that goes to the BF Chief of Staff.
TF25 Canon:
Task Force 25 is centered upon the Reliquary. You can read the information about Reliquary in the article on the Bravo Fleet Wiki to get a little bit more information about what the Reliquary is, but the short version is that it’s a massive alien installation located in deep space. It’s archaic and ancient in every way that those adjectives invoke, and holds massive databases which point to various “points of interest” across the entire galaxy.
This means that we do not have a unique mandate like the rest of the Task Forces, where they are based “geographically” in one area of space. Our mandate spreads the entire galaxy, and there are myriad stories that can be told. The idea is that the Task Force is a return to the tenets of episodic exploration and humanitarianism we see so often in our favorite Trek series, with the Reliquary and her massive databses serving as the impetus for exploring these data points.
In the coming months, I will be pushing more and more canon from The Reliquary, to help set the scene as to what type of missions are possible. But as always, if you would like to pitch an idea for a mission you find fascinating, or that would push forward the overall canon of the Task Force, I encourage you to reach out to me or anyone else on the Task Force staff, so we can butt our heads together and see what we can come up with!
