Greetings from your Bravo Fleet Communications Office! As we begin a new year, I thought it would be good to deliver some notes on the efforts of the department.
First, we recently took a look at the Discord Policy and made a few updates. Mainly this was done to clarify things, expand on certain actions that are not allowed in our server, and overall to ensure we are moderating a positive, well-intentioned, experience for both our members and guests alike.

Second, throughout the mid to end of 2024 the office launched a new iteration of the Bravo Fleet Podcast: Relay Station Bravo. Overall, we produced 20 episodes (21 if you count our preview ep!) and featured guests from the Fleet membership and Senior Staff. We talked about happenings in the Fleet, reviewed some of our favorite Star Trek movies, and overall had some good discussions about and around our shared love of Star Trek.
Kudos must be given to our former Staff Officer for Podcasts, Aaron aka Captain Fontana, who recorded and edited the pod as well as served as our main host! Without Aaron we would not have been able to pull this off and while we have had to put the podcast on hiatus as IRL has moved into his life, we look forward to a time where we might bring it back. Until then, a huge thank you to Aaron and thank you for the support of the BFSS and the entire membership.
You can find all the podcast episodes still live and available by clicking here or by finding us wherever you get your podcasts!
Third, one of the major tasks that the Comms Office handles is posting on our social media profiles. In addition to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X, we have recently expanded into Threads and Bluesky. Please make sure you are following us on all the things and please share our posts to help us increase our reach!

On these social platforms, we are assisted by our Staff Assistant for Social Media, Reva Sarrik, who crafts much of our Trivia Tuesday and Quotable Trek posts which do garner much engagement from our followers! We are also trying to do more and post more on social media with some posts you might have seen like Wiki Wednesday and Starship Fact Friday!
Another thing the Comms Office has a role in is advertising the Fleet on social media through ads. I’m sharing some with you here, so you can see what’s out there!
Finally, as we embark on the new year, the Comms Office is hiring! We are looking for new staff members who might be interested in helping us be creative on social media, manage the scheduling of postings, and who are good with Canva. We would love to have a a few more folks assisting myself and Reva!
