Hello Fleet! I have to say it’s been both heartening and extremely rewarding to see how enthusiastically everyone has thrown themselves into the Blood Dilithium Campaign! Now we’re two weeks in, and with 144 stories from 22 individual fictions as of writing this, it has been a truly formidable writing effort that has been difficult to keep up with in the best possible way.
That being said, there are those out there who have clearly been keeping on top of it all, firing out comments left, right and centre. I attribute a lot of the campaign’s momentum to these people! A massive thank you for this. You know who you are. 👀
Thanks also to all who are getting involved with organising and entering campaign competitions. Congratulations to all the winners so far! It’s been great to see the medals dished out to some deserving competitors, and equally awesome to see people storming ahead with their Nanowrimo word counts! Keep it up!
Now, on to the next Task Force 17 installment of the Blood Dilithium story:
Be sure to take a look at the ‘In-Play’ section at the end for details of a new plot McGuffin; the ‘subspace trumpet’. This might add an interesting new dimension (pun very much intended) to your stories, should you choose to incorporate it.
So happy writing, fleeties! No doubt the rest of your Novembers will be filled with literary endeavours of equal impressiveness to the first half.
