What do we really know about the Romulans? Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live the life of a Romulan?

Romulans are a humanoid species that once lived on Romulus before its destruction, they are biological cousins of the Vulcans that had descended from those who rejected Surak’s reforms during the Time of Awakening some two thousand years ago. By the time of the 24th century, the Romulans were one of the major powers in the galaxy.  The Romulans lacked the discipline that was developed by the followers of Surak. Even though Romulans gave up unrestrained violence as a way of life they chose to replace this with a controlled deviousness.

More about the Romulan people can be found here

The Romulan Factions refer to the governments that arose after the collapse of the Old Romulan Star Empire with the supernova of the star of Romulus in 2387. (Romulan Star Empire, Romulan Free State, or the Romulan Republic).

More information on the Romulan Factions can be found here

For this competition, you will create a Romulan character. This character can be from any one of the three factions, is the character a civilian? a scientist? Politician? Be creative, think outside the box a bit.

Criteria

  • Characters should be made on the BFMS, set to cameo, and published. Include a link to the character in your submission.
  • Characters should be newly-written for this contest, not currently-played characters, though you're free to do whatever you want with the character after the competition is over.
  • Biographies should be as complete as possible to give the judge a sense of the character.
  • Entries will be judged based on creativity, style, which faction are they apart of, and how detailed the history of the character is. Grammar and spelling will not be important in judging considerations but will be used to break ties.
