Home for a Rest

After a long tour on a starship, fraught with tension and danger, there’s nothing better than coming home and slipping your feet into those old bunny slippers and taking a load off. Put on some music, maybe read a book, take the Tribble for a walk, whatever.

Write a short piece of fiction (1000-1500 Words) describing what one of your characters (could be from your Primary Command, SBB, or even a new creation!) would do if they had a chance to get back to good ol’ Terra Firma for some R&R. It can be funny, or serious, or both, as long as it’s creative. This is a single-author post.

Criteria

• Stories should be submitted directly to the BFMS
• Entry must be between 1000 and 1500 words
• Entries must be submitted by a single author only
• Stories must be written during the competition period and should not be a reuse of anything previously written. Stories written before or after the date of completion will be disqualified. The BFMS publish date will be used
• Entries will be marked based on the Bravo Fleet Fiction Rubric, which marks on the following criteria: Language, Style & Mechanics; Adherence to Canon; Perspective; Characterization; Originality; Use of Prompt.
