Memphis Research Cruiser Division

Division of Sirius Expeditionary SquadronUSS Memphis • 3 Commands • Managed by ADM Alexander Beckett

Memphis Division is the research and analysis branch of Sirius Squadron, responsible for second-wave and long-term study of discoveries made by other units. Its ships conduct detailed surveys of previously charted regions and pursue dedicated investigation of collected findings. When supporting active squadron-wide operations, the division delivers intelligence and analytical expertise, transforming raw information into insight to guide the squadron’s missions. Each ship serves a key role:

  • Memphis: The division flagship and hub for all squadron research operations. With her expansive laboratory facilities and vast science division, she is the focal point of long-term study of locations and data collected by other ships. Alongside the rest of the unit, her sophisticated sensor array provides detailed long-range and real-time situational data.
  • Bohr: The unit’s surveyor, the Bohr conducts detailed study and examination of planets, systems, and phenomena visited by the rest of the squadron. She is primarily assigned to expanding Starfleet’s knowledge of the territory of the Romulan Star Empire, surveying unknown regions in proximity to the Federation border.
  • Ranger: Conducts reconnaissance missions on behalf of the division and squadron, scoping out opportunities for further study with initial study and threat assessment. When deployed with the rest of the squadron, the Ranger acts as a scout and gathers operational intelligence to support wider missions.

Together, the three ships advance Starfleet knowledge with long-term study, and provide the squadron with key operational intelligence collection and data analysis.
