The current captain of the USS Redding is a tall, wiry Andorian woman. Her Starfleet career started around the time of the Dominion War: she was one of the dozen survivors of the USS Kangar that was destroyed during the battle between the Federation and Klingon forces and the Dominion and Cardassian fleet at DS9 — an event that has left her deeply disliking battle. Since then she has climbed the ranks until reaching the position of Captain. She is known for her propensity for a style of brash diplomacy.

She is brash and somewhat aloof.
