Bravo Fleet
Summary
Commander Krolo Alen is currently the Commanding Officer of the USS Sausalito. He began his career in the Security Department and after an incident with one of his supervisors, he was demoted and it was “suggested” that he switch departments. He moved over to Flight Control and worked his way back up until he got his own command. He doesn’t feel is if he’s had what some would call an exceptional career so he was surprised by the command offer and the ability to hand pick his crew.
Appearance
Alen stands at 6′ 2″ and weighs in at 180 lbs. His wavy hair is a dark brown and he sports blue eyes. Being Bajoran, he has the very noticeable nose ridges and wears the traditional d’ja pagh in his right ear to symbolize his faith.
Personality
Unlike many Bajoran men who do not seek out leadership roles, Krolo Alen knew from an early age, after meeting several Starfleet officers, that he not only wanted to join Starfleet but that he wanted to be a leader within the orginization. He tries to stay true to his ways but he is often put to the test when it comes to being peaceful toward all others. He can usually hold his feelings in check but sometimes, his stubbornness arises and he needs his First Officer to hold him down.
History
Character Bio:
Early life:(2358-2379)
Krolo Alen’s mother got pregnant with him on Bajor during the Cardassian Occupation. In hopes of getting away from the center of the devastation, his parents moved to Bajor VIII, and he was born in 2358.
Life on Bajor VIII was still rough even without much interference from the Cardassians. His father took a job as a teacher, and they tried their best to keep him shielded. Eventually, Starfleet entered the picture and that was all Alen needed to help decide his future. He loved his parents and was very proud of them, but he was enthralled at how the Federation assisted everyone and treated them all as equals. This was his future.
He began hanging around the Starfleet officers whenever he had the chance and would watch in awe as the Security forces handle so many situations.
Starfleet Academy:(2379-2383)
He took the entrance exam in 2379, when he was 21 years old. He entered the Academy and, after 4 years, graduated easily enough and found himself assigned to the USS Gainesville in 2383 with the rank of Ensign.
USS Gainesville:(2383-2389)
Alen joined the USS Gainesville after graduation as a security officer and by 2386, he had worked his way up to Lieutenant and was the Assistant Chief of Security. That was until 2389, when he had gotten into a fight with his department head over how a prisoner was being treated. Krolo had reported the superior officer but by the time anything was done, he had already been transferred to the USS Nevada and with the transfer had come a department switch to Helm control.
USS Nevada:(2389-2401)
Krolo transferred to the Nevada as a Flight Control Officer and remained aboard the Nevada and eventually climbed back up the ranks until he was the ship’s First Officer. After two years in that position, he received his own command within Bravo Fleet.
USS Sausilito :(2401-Present)
Alen was given command of the USS Sausilto and is currently doing his best to make it work.
