History
Early Life (2362-2380)
Toivo Levi was born in 2362 on Omega Leonis III, a Federation colony near the Klingon border. Raised by his father, a dedicated Federation employee, and his mother, an intelligence officer, Levi developed a passion for mysteries and crime fiction from an early age. He would often lose himself in holo-novels, stimulating his curiosity and imagination, and dreaming of solving intricate puzzles and understanding the inner workings of law enforcement.
Starfleet Academy (2380-2384)
In 2380, Levi joined Starfleet Academy, where his love for mysteries and crime fiction influenced his decision to focus on criminal investigations. During his time at the academy, Levi excelled in his studies and training and published a successful fictional holo-novel that received widespread acclaim.
During a simulated war game exercise, Levi noticed a senior cadet sabotaging the mission, causing their team to lose. When he reported the incident, he was met with silence and inaction from the Academy’s administration. This shocking experience of dissension in the ranks made Levi question the integrity of the institution he had committed himself to and caused him to seriously consider leaving Starfleet. Despite these doubts, he ultimately decided to stay, spurred on by his deep-rooted desire to ensure justice and maintain order within the Federation.
Omega Leonis III (2384-2401)
Upon graduating from Starfleet Academy, Levi returned to Omega Leonis III in 2384 and began assisting his mother in her role as the colony’s Intelligence Officer. His skills in criminal investigations and his imaginative approach to problem-solving proved invaluable in his new role.
Shortly after his return, a series of unexplained technical glitches in the colony’s main systems raised suspicions of espionage. Levi’s diligent investigation led to the identification and capture of a Klingon spy who was attempting to undermine the Federation’s efforts on Omega Leonis III.
The following year, a mysterious, seemingly abandoned colony ship was discovered drifting in a nearby asteroid field. Levi was tasked with leading the investigation into what happened. He painstakingly pieced together the events that led to the ship’s abandonment, revealing a tragic story of a colony’s failed attempt to settle a new world. The case was emotionally draining, but it ultimately helped Levi appreciate the importance of his role in safeguarding his own colony.
