Luro Res

While medicine was not Luro Res’ first career, she believes that it is the one she was destined for and that the events of her life have led her to this point. Born during the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, Luro is no stranger to hardship and loss, but she doesn’t dwell on the past, preferring to live in the present and to look forward. Left to raise her two sons after the death of her husband, Luro made a new life for them that would eventually lead her to a successful career in Starfleet Medicine. She married Allegra Rosetti in the spring of 2390 on Bajor.

Despite being raised in the hardship and poverty of a Cardassian labour camp during the Occupation, Luro Res remains a remarkably upbeat and optimistic person who tries to see the good in everyone. Unlike her wife, Luro is a morning person who detests caffeinated drinks and regularly scolds those she sees drinking them. Like many Bajorans, Luro is deeply spiritual and believes that her faith has sustained her during the most difficult periods of her life.
