Krish Malhotra

Bright, young, and up-and-coming, Krish Malhotra has recently taken his first command with his assignment to captain the USS Asger. An operations officer by training, Malhotra has the excellence and experience in logistics that makes him a strong choice to command a ship charged with humanitarian missions. With the Asger assigned to the Midgard Sector, he works closely under regional command staff, particularly the leadership of Gateway Station. This has soothed the anxieties of some, with Malhotra unproven as a starship captain after demonstrating serious flaws in his judgement as a leader during his temporary command of the USS Endeavour during the Lost Fleet invasion of 2401. Now, Commander Malhotra has the chance to prove himself, supported and guided when Starfleet cannot afford to not give promising young officers a chance after the losses of Frontier Day.

Despite the uncertainties around his capabilities as a leader, Malhotra is an affable and capable young officer, charming and easily liked, and will certainly have no trouble instilling trust and loyalty from those around him. The only question is if he can follow through.
