Krish Malhotra

Bright, young, and up-and-coming, Krish Malhotra is the executive officer of the USS Redemption. In practice, this makes him responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ship, with the Redemption under the formal command of Gateway Station commander Fleet Captain Jericho. While Jericho often leads missions off-station and into the Midgard Sector from the front, Malhotra has extensive responsibilities and oversight while the captain’s time, attention, and presence are elsewhere.

Once considered on the cusp of his own command, Malhotra’s career took a setback after a failed stint in starship command during the Lost Fleet invasion of 2401. Now, Commander Malhotra has the chance to prove himself, supported and guided when Starfleet cannot afford to not give promising young officers a chance after the losses of Frontier Day.

Despite the uncertainties around his capabilities as a leader, Malhotra is an affable and capable young officer, charming and easily liked, and will certainly have no trouble instilling trust and loyalty from those around him. The only question is if he can follow through.
