Dathan Tahla

An orphan whose family were among the last fatalities of the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, Dathan Tahla’s upbringing in the care of the Federation has led to service in Starfleet. Considered a very bright but rather meek intelligence officer, reports say Lieutenant Dathan’s early career has been in advisory and analytical roles on large-scale operations with little field expertise. Only in recent years, after what she has vaguely alluded to as a ‘spiritual experience,’ has her career taken a sharp turn upwards after a surge in confidence and ambition. This has made her move from fleet-level analysis to starship service on the USS Endeavour an even odder choice.
