Vashti Griffith

Early life:

Born in 2359 to Aayliyah and Val Gregorios on Earth. Vashti is the sister to Alistair, Alaric, Aegeus, and Veva. She is the second born of the five and also the most dedicated of the children. After her brother was sent away, unbeknownst to her to Starfleet, she cleaned up her act and put her mind to good use. She has a very high intelligence and chose to place that intelligence into the medical field. Upon graduating at the age of 17 from SFHS as the class’ valedictorian, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. After graduating she chose to follow her dream into the medical side of the federation, but not attend the academy. She worked hard from her first day in college and made every mark possible. While most of her classmates wanted to party and get into trouble, Vashti, found more enjoyment in studying and like before graduated Summa Cum Laude from her University a full two years before she was supposed to. Feeling that she had the knowledge and the intellect to help the Federation she turned her attention towards the fleet and joined the Academy in 2378. As hard as she tried she was forced to complete the Academy with the rest of the Cadets that had joined up with her. So four years later in 2382, she graduated from Starfleet Academy with the highest yearly consecutive grades that the facility had ever seen, except for the ones held by Data.

Starfleet career:

Joined Starfleet in 2378 at the age of 19 and by the age of 23 had impressed her professors and instructors in the medical, operations, survival training, and security/tactical fields. Holds the highest recorded grades in Starfleet, second to those held by Data. The first official Starfleet assignment was to Starbase Yorktown after her graduation from the Academy in 2382; was promoted posthaste to the rank of Lieutenant (JG) upon arrival to the station and made the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Upon arrival, Vashti is promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and is also made the Chief Medical Officer. While there several advancements in medicine and medical technics are developed by Vashti. She recommended for Accommodations by the Commanding Officer. Vashti meets a wealthy man named Trever Griffith while on the base and two years later they were married. Their marriage was perfect in everyone’s eyes. They had three children together. However, the marriage fell apart when Vashti received orders for the USS Templar. Their CO needed a qualified CMO and she knew that she could not advance without time aboard an active ship. For thirteen years Vashti served aboard the USS Templar, she was apart of a joint operation with a Terran freighter that had come under attack with a band of rogue pirates and after assisting the security team with repelling the attackers she field dressed the two crewmen from their ship that had taken fire and at the same time coordinated with the freighters own medical team on how to properly regenerate the skin around a wound in the gut of their captain, as well as teach them the proper techniques on how to field dress someone while under assault. She performed this with the aid of the Chief Sec/Tac. The freighters thanked her.

After the thirteen years being aboard the Templar Vashti thought it was about time to retire. As she was filling out the report for her request for retirement she got news of her baby sister, Veva, being demoted from Captain to Commander because of her mental health after the loss of her wife. Vashti then requested a transfer to the USS Hippocrates to help her sister knowing all too well that she would be there.

Service history:

1.  SOL- Earth- San Fransico – Starfleet Academy Mon, Nov. 06th, 2378 (Stardate: 55406.6) – Tried to convince her professors and instructors that she did not need to complete the required four years of Academy training. Even went as far as confronting the Commandant about this matter. Eventually subsided to the fact that she had no control of this matter and graduated top of her class in five different fields.
2. Deepspace – Frontier – Starbase Yorktown Sat, Nov. 06th, 2382 (Stardate: 59079.5) – Upon arrival Vashti is promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and is also made the Chief Medical Officer. While there several advancements in medicine and medical technics are developed by Vashti. She recommended for Accommodations by the Commanding Officer. 
3. Deepspace – Frontier – USS Templar – NCC-65775 – Thu. Mar. 06th, 2386 (Stardate: 62136.67) – Served 13 years onboard as the CMO and Assistant to both Ops and Sec/Tac. Was promoted twice during her time on the Templar.
4. Starbase Bravo- USS Hippocrates – NCC -73020 Sat. Feb. 06th, 2399 (Stardate: 74002.92) – After 13 years aboard the USS Templar and its final voyage before being sent back to Earth for decommissioning Vashti receives orders for an Olympic class vessel, the USS Hippocrates.
