Bravo Fleet
Summary
A space boomer gone cadet, Kiata has seen and felt his share of tragedy. But he has chosen to give himself cause to defend the defenseless and do good in the galaxy rather than let his past consume him.
Kiata currently is a first year cadet at Starfleet Academy on the Operations track. He is pursuing degrees and honors in Astrophysics, Warp Geometry, Engineering, and Interspecies Ethics.
Appearance
Evans is the living image of how one might imagine an aspiring officer: young, with defined and handsome features, but this ends with a nasty burn scar across the right of his face. He holds a timid but kind gaze in his blue eyes that also betrays his naivety and idealistic nature. His hair is dark and curly and is just barely regulation length, and his face kept clean shaven as possible. He holds an athletic build as would be expected of an aspiring officer.
Personality
Kiata is an idealistic young man with all kinds of ideas of what it means to be a Starfleet officer and no clue of what lies ahead for him.
He does his best to be approachable and friendly, as he wishes to be respectful to everyone he meets and tries to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But his kindness only goes so far as he will not hesitate to intervene or take action if harm is done to the innocent or defenseless.
A lot of the time Evans can appear timid or nervous, as he is still trying to grapple with his place as a Cadet.
History
Evans was born to a family of freight traders running a business between the Sol System and Andoria, a lucrative business which often found them working closely with Ferengi and Andorian alike. When he was 14 years old, his parents took him with them on a routine supply trip to Andoria aboard the SS Wyldman.
During this trip, their vessel was attacked by Nausicaan pirates.
The pirates boarded the Wyldman and killed the crew, including Kiata’s parents, whom he was forced to watch perish. In his escape from the Wyldman he suffered a burn across his face from a Disruptor pistol fired by one of the pirates. He was later rescued and went on to grow up under the supervision of his grandparents.
This traumatic event launched Evan’s first aspirations to join Starfleet with the intention of protecting others from suffering any similar fate. He enlisted in the academy at the age of 17 pursuing the Operations track.
