Korvath

Korvath, son of K’marn, of the House of A’trok, serves as captain of the IKS Kortar. The second son of Lord A’trok’s eldest son, at a glance he appears a key figure in the House, even being styled ‘Warden of the Iron Vanguard,’ a title reserved for the leader of the House’s fleets. But the fleets have not been assembled since the Dominion War, and Korvath has long been a critic of his family, accusing them of complacency, apathy, and corruption.

For this, he has spent much of the last decade on an informal – or self-enforced – banishment to the Empire’s rim. Only in late-2402 has he returned, taking up command of the ageing bird-of-prey, and answering the call from the Federation’s allies to serve alongside Starfleet ships. Still an outsider and firebrand, Captain Korvath now stands in a position to establish himself as a warrior and a leader, and challenge what he sees as rot in both the Empire and his House.
