Summary
Fresh out of the academy, Elena Moreau has a passion for science and astrobiology in particular. A family tragedy has left her with a cautious and a stickler for procedure, which often sees her lag behind her colleagues. However, she is eager to please and demonstrate her abilities at her first assignment.
Appearance
Elena has dark hair that she normally keeps up in an efficient low bun that keeps it out of the way of her work. She has dark brown eyes and a slightly tan complexion. She is 160 cm tall with a slight figure.
Personality
Elena is thoughtful, observant, and methodical. Before taking action, she likes to carefully plan and consider all possibilities. She is also grounded and realistic in her expectations. She is eager to prove herself to a commanding officer. Elena will often become engrossed in her work, often to the detriment of her social life.
History
Born in 2378 to parents André and Claire Moreau, Elena was inspired at a young age to pursue her parents’ passion for science. She grew up on New Paris Colony outside of a lot of latest modern technological advancements, and you could often find Elena exploring the outer borders of the colony. At the age of twelve, an accident involving a atmospheric compensator being worked on by her father resulted in the deaths of six colonists. Though her father survived with minor injuries, the guilt from the accident left him emotionally distant, and Elena’s home never felt the same.
As soon as she was able, Elena left for Starfleet Academy. Though she received high marks in her classes and often showed initiative in group projects, as she continued, her methodical nature often affected the speed at which she was able to finish projects, letting perfect become the enemy of good. The memory of her father’s experience made her extremely cautious in her work.
Now having graduated, Elena is eager to prove that she has what it takes to rise in the ranks of Starfleet.
