Lina Renard

Lieutenant Lina Renard is the Chief of Security/Tactical of the USS Tempest. Brusque, no-nonsense, and stoic, much of Renard’s professional record speaks of exemplary service, but repeatedly query her capacity to be a ‘team player’ beyond anything but the strictly formal. While this has played a role in holding back her career progression, so have Renard’s own choices; she has resisted offers to assignments that might put her at a desk or deep within Federation space for some eight years now. While she is known to be humourless and unsmiling, living to do little more than work, it seems that assignments to starships on the frontier or beyond are what pass for making her happy.

Renard is a native of the planet Mars; she was a cadet during the synth attack, and almost her entire family were killed.
