Atil'ika

Atil’ika has never wanted a command, the centre chair has never drawn her in, nor has the weight that it carries on the heart. She instead prefers to be in the thick of it, bruising her knuckles and stretching her muscles shoulder to shoulder with her colleagues; in her mind, the joy is to be had in the doing. Thus, her service in Starfleet was not deep into the unknown or battling against those who would unpick the Federation, it was with those who were attempting to build a better tomorrow. Unfortunately, this commitment to the people drew her to the frontline and cost her greatly during the Dominion War. An age at the mill face took its toll on mind and body, and when the victory horns sounded, she found herself empty of a reason to go on. Dissillusioned by the war and feeling separated from the people of the Federation whom she had devoted herself to, Atil’ika took herself off to the frontier colonies to do some good.

When the call for able hands went out following Frontier Day, she found a reason once again. Now she serves the Federation once more, carrying a vivid warning of what may come.
