Nemros

It’s easy to make assumptions about Nemros at first glance, the slightly wizened old man seeming to have more in common with a monk or vedek than a decorated Starfleet Captain. Quiet, considered and collected in all he does, Nemros would never be accused of a rash choice. He might not even be accused of a particularly speedy one either, and those who serve beneath him sometimes complain of his frustratingly slow decision-making.

But beneath the slow, passive exterior lies over half a century’s experience on the frontier, service through two of the Federation’s great conflicts and a plethora of memorised reference books to rival the ship’s library. Nemros is now content to let the youngsters rush and fret and marvel; his weary bones would only struggle to keep up. Instead, he will keep the hearth burning and the door ajar, so that his friends may explore the universe.
