Summary
Lt. Cmdr. Thyr’kon “Whiplash” Saril is the squadron leader for the fighter/bomber squadron embarked on USS Victory.
Appearance
Blue skin with antennae, consistent with an Andorian. Wears his white hair at shoulder length, but keeps it slicked back to at least look vaguely professional. Piercing blue eyes.
Personality
Saril can be sarcastic at times in his speech, and is often filled with a degree of restless energy that tends to appear most in long meetings by way of various forms of fidgeting. He is most in control in the cockpit of his fighter, screaming along at full impulse, metaphorically “with his tail on fire.” When off-duty, he enjoys social atmospheres like bars or clubs, or holodecks/holosuites.
History
Thyr’kon Saril was born on Andoria in 2372, the youngest of 5. Partially because of always feeling overshadowed by his elder siblings, he developed a rebellious streak that saw him in trouble repeatedly in his youth, until his parents gave him the choice of joining either the Andorian Guard or Starfleet in the hopes of getting their rambunctious son to shape up.
Saril chose Starfleet, quickly focusing on small craft operations. He graduated in the Class of 2393, then enrolled in the post-graduate fighter training school. On his first atmospheric training flight, he performed a high-g turn so suddenly that he gave his training officer whiplash that required medical treatment that sidelined the training officer for 6 weeks, the origins of his callsign “Whiplash.” Saril eventually graduated from the course, and served for the next several years aboard various starships and starbases, gaining experience, though experience did little to temper his love of flying on the edge. His most recent transfer was to the Sagan-class USS Victory, assigned as the squadron leader for her squadron of fighters and bombers.
