Avak Ekos

Avak Ekos was born to 2 members of the Bajoran Resistance, and is Avak Karine’s younger sibling. They were only 4 when Karine disappeared, and 6 when she was freed and left for Starfleet. They mostly grew up with their cousin Yene Taheth. They both had looked up to Karine and decided to join Starfleet, though part of Ekos’ reasoning was also being scared of joining the Bajoran Militia but not wanting to be seen as a coward. They studied science and were placed on a few other ships before ending up on the Solvang. They feel insecure around Taheth since they feel he’s a lot more like Karine than they are and got to know her better.
