Jairo Abaroa

Jairo was born to a Puerto Rican human man and a Vulcan woman who’d been assigned to the same starbase. He was raised with children of various species, and learned about his Puerto Rican culture and Vulcan culture from his parents, but wasn’t expected to conform to Vulcan norms all that much. He did learn about logic to tame his emotions, but for him it’s a choice, and instead of complete suppression, he’s been trying to learn emotional control, though he isn’t always successful with it. When he became an adult, he entered the Starfleet Academy because he wasn’t sure what else he’d do and if he wanted to explore, Starfleet seemed like the way to do it anyway. He primarily studied engineering and cybersecurity, but also has some experience piloting ships. Currently, he’s a 4th year cadet.
