Mira Novak

Mira appears to be a calm, procedural-minded individual that has been molded by her career as a logistics officer. She uses concise words and deliberate tones to communicate with others, preferring communication through action or tightly structured orders over more emotionally driven means of speech.

She endeavors to maintain an emotionally neutral outward appearance in public settings, her baroque mannerisms generally leading observers to assume that she is half-Vulcan, rather than her actual lineage. In private, however, Mira is far more emotionally intense and rarely attempts to suppress the torrent of feelings she hides so effectively from the public eye.

Routines are important to Mira, they provide her with structure and predictability that lead to outcomes that are measurable, quantifiable, and ultimately ‘safe’. Deviation from plans are dealt with swiftly, but with an outward calm that masks the internal panic and frustration roiling inside.

While she is not known for outward warmth, Mira does not lack in empathy. Rather than providing comfort, as was her mother’s solution to things, Mira prefers a policy of proactive problem-solving to address issues that those she considers to be close to might bring her way. Though she does not praise others often, it is always a genuine reflection of her feelings. Criticism, however, is always devoid of emotion, and usually always focused on what rather than whom.

Privacy is absolute for Mira, especially when it involves her heritage. While it has always been known to Starfleet Personnel, Mira has never actively clarified on any vessel she has ever served that she was not half-Vulcan, and states that she was raised solely by her mother to embrace the Human aspects of her lineage. Her lack of emotionalism is generally explained away as a quirk in personality, but never elaborated on.
