Bravo Fleet
Summary
Elsie has an energetic and bubbly personality, she was a free minded and spirited person, who recently had a brush with death that changed her life. She started to prioritize her life. She was raised in Starfleet. In Elsie’s eyes, her life first started on the USS Nightshade.
She started her career as a diplomatic officer, earning the diplomatic rank of Envoy before deciding to focus more on a Starfleet career. She asked to be placed in a deep space vessel. She was assigned to the USS Sirona. She had spent the first four years of her career on Vulcan, meeting a lot of races. She felt her life was becoming a little stagnate. She still loved the idea of meeting new races, she felt that she could best accomplish this on a starfleet vessel.
In 2388 Elsie was assigned to the USS Sirona and promoted to Chief Diplomatic Officer. A role she took very seriously, and on their second mission with the Sirona, she was promoted to Acting First Officer after extraordinary events transpired on the USS Sirona. Injuring the first officer.
Appearance
Elsie is a slender woman, who recently started to go to the gym to stay in shape, a lot of people tell her she is very skinny and fit, but she knows the older she gets the more her metabolism will slow down. Image means everything to her.
She has short brown hair with green eyes, she is light skinned with no scars, no freckles or visible birthmarks.
Her only complaint, is her butt is to flat, but on the same note she is happy it is, because its a good sign, she is not putting on weight. However she does desire to put on a few pounds to have the curves in the right places.
Personality
Elsie has always been called a strong willed woman with a loving heart. Recently the USS Sirona’s, responded to mayday call that caused Elsie and the rest of the away team to be infected by a virus, that was de-aging anyone affected by the virus. Elsie showed great strength and leadership, when learned they were infected. She managed to keep her composure after her first officer was in a comma and the death of another crew member.
She is able to speak her mind and get others to listen to her ideas, she is great at multi-tasking while deescalating hostile situations. She gets both sides to compromise and meet in the middle. Her skills came in handy on the second mission, when the away team was devastated by the news of their first officer being in a comma and their crew mate date. She managed to de escalate an emotionally compromised crew, and hold them together in order to find a cure to save them all.
Elsie is a great listener, and is she to reflect a calm presence, and adapt to almost any situation, thanks to her training on Vulcan. Out of the academy her first assignment was on Vulcan, where she learned patience, and the virtues of common sense. Her strong willed nature allows her to hold her position in negotiations, like any good diplomat, she knows how to read the body impressions, and the selective choice of words people tend to use, when trying to negotiate, she has an incredible memory and focus on the minor things, she has a real knack for attention to detail.
She loves to talk, sometimes a little much, not typically about herself, just the work she is into with her fellow crew members. One of her main focuses is to get people to open up, so she get them to talk, first about minor things, then flip the switch on them.
Typically afterword’s she feels like she has to keep the facade up and continues to talk to personal, not because she likes them, but out of a sense of duty. A trait she learned while on Vulcan, a trait, she hopes she can unlearn.
After being trapped on the USS Sirona with a life threatening virus, she has slightly changed her perspective on children, she use feel completely uncomfortable around kids. The idea of having kids was a little scary to her, in her early 20’s but with 30 knocking around around the corner, she is learning to overcome her insecurities around children.
She has a natural fear of heights, even in a holodeck, she does not like the idea of being in high places, she does okay on a starship or a small craft, but not like to sit by windows, where she can see the ground coming up on her.
Elsie’s self confidence was a little shaken, she has started to see Lieutenant Emri Dane the new counselor of the USS Sirona. She is still recovering after the near death, and the severe injury of Lieutenant Commander Alom Ehal. And the death of Lieutenant Reggie Hawthorne. She wondered why Lieutenant Phaedra, Ensign Cassidy Westphall and herself survived the incident.
To make matters worse, the captain promoted her to Acting First Officer, so she wants to do a good job in her new role. She knew the Captain offered her the position because he believed in her, and she wanted to do right about him. She took the role very seriously. And worked hard to be a good role model for the crew.
History
2386 – 2398, USS Sirona
Elsie served on the on the USS Sirona until 2398, when both Elsie and Byron both accepted a command offers at Valhalla Fleet Yards. Elsie was given command of the USS Paladin, and Bryron was given command of the USS Hornet.
Captain Dhej’s retired from Starfleet shortly after Elsie left the Sirona. This one I needed a much overhaul so in early 2398 the ship was pulled into drydock.
Elsie feels guilty that most of her time is XO she feel like she was pregnant more than she actually felt like she was first officer, but she managed to do both pretty well or at least Captain Dhej’s reminded her on a regular basis.
Elsie wanted to be the next commanding officer, but the USS Sirona would be going under a overhaul and then assigned to a new commanding officer. She was offered a command, and a new crew.
Elsie and Byron brought into the world, a daughter, she was named Amber Raye Coleman in 2388, the two were ecstatic with joy. a short time after giving birth to Amber, Elsie learns she is pregnant again. In 2389 she gave birth to Hope Louise Coleman.
Elsie and Bryon now had a third daughter, her name was Mila Rose Colema in 2391. After there third child, they decided 3 kids was enough for their happy family. The kids early childhood, was being raised on the USS Sirona.
In 2386, Elsie was made assistant chief diplomatic officer aboard the USS Sirona. By 2388 she was promoted to Lieutenant Junior grade and continue to serve in the role as assistant chief diplomatic officer until 2390 when their current chief diplomatic officer was transferred to another assignment. She remained in that role until 2392.
Elsie knows she is still young, but she has considered taking the first officer exam, but she is not sure if she ready and even if she fails, she knows she still has time to achieve this goal. Her brother Eric at the age of 33 is the first officer of the USS Santiago, a little part of her wants to try to become a first officer by her 30th birthday. In order to achieve this goal she asked Captain Batai Dhej, if she could take the first officer exam.
After completion of the second mission. Elsie was promoted to Acting First Officer of the USS Sirona by Captain Dhej, she was placed on a trail basis. She took the role very seriously and studied hard. She took and completed the first officer exam and the bridge officer test in the holodeck.
By 2391 Elsie’s fast-tracked to the position of executive officer, after losing their last executive officer in the line of duty captain Batai Dhej decided to promote Elsie into the role of acting executive officer at first. He was very pleased with her performance. By 2392 he offered her for the position and then fast tractor promotion to Lieutenant in order to secure her position as XO.
Elsie was extremely loyal to her captain and even though by 2396 he had told her to accept a different command to refused saying that she was happy here on the ship with him.
By 2398 Captain Batai Dhej, decided to retire from Starfleet. He struggled with Starfleet had to become for many years. Ever since the incident 2385 he had always struggled. He felt like he wasn’t able to continue anymore as Captain. By 2398 he resigned his commission and went back to Trill.
Elsie was devastated but once again Batai strongly encourage her and Byron to accept new commands even put in a request with then rear Admiral Domingo Martinez a friend of his at Valhalla Fleet yard his friend Domingo was looking for capable officers.
2398 – 2402, USS Paladin
Elsie accepted the promotion to Commanding Officer of the USS Paladin. At first she didn’t want to take the promotion. She was really close to her captain, and even though she knew she was ready to be a captain she felt like it wasn’t a proper time.
Batai and asked her to accept a position, so she did it for him and she also did it for herself in a sense.
For the next 3 years Elsie did really good at commanding officer, she found her rhythm and she started to like command once again. She would hate to admit it, but she started to wonder maybe if the reason she didn’t take promotion earlier it’s because of a loyalty to her previous captain and a codependency to want to make sure that he was okay. It was the mother in her after all. Plus he was her mentor and he meant everything to her.
It wasn’t until 2401 when Elsie finally understood the devastation and the loss of life and how he could impact a person. Her previous captain was commanding officer back in 2385 during the synth attack. And I hear she was a captain, during the Battle of frontiers day.
Elsie started looking at promotion opportunities, when she noticed a logistic squadron needed a new Co she applied for it and was accepted, and 2402 she was promoted to Commodore and assigned to Starbase xxxxxx.
