Irene Hatch

Hatch is one of the junior Admiralty members of the Starfleet R&D division. As such, she was perfectly suited to head the Reliquary Exploration Project. Hatch is a renowned stellar cartographer and astrophysicist in her own right, and in her 10 years as a starship captain, was one of the first to consistently be chosen for deep space missions. She has a matronly attitude toward her reports, but maintains an air of scientific detachment to most other things not humanitarian in nature.
