Shashnika

Shashnika often sets people on edge, their massive chitanious arachnid form being an unfamiliar sight amongst the humanoid beings common to Federation space, one that many assume is threatening. The expert engineer long ago learnt that despite the kindness of her soul (for the pacifist engineer wouldn’t hurt a fly unless it was served with Andorian spice sauce), their outward appearance could be a sticking point for the efficient working of the ship. In an effort to avoid uncomfortable situations or the fearful looks of their comrades, Shashnika usually ventures through the ship by way of the jefferies tubes and is rarely seen beyond the sanctuary of engineering save for a late night visit to the mess hall for a delicious Andorian Spiced Fly.
