Vyllen

Captain Vyllen is the commanding officer of the starship Achilles. An engineer by training, Vyllen served as the Achilles captain from 2375 to 2380 before the ship and the rest of her class were mothballed, along with a number of other tactically-oriented designs developed during the Dominion War. Infuriated at Starfleet’s attempt to pretend that anything could return to any sense of pre-war norms, Vyllen transferred to the Andorian Imperial Guard that same year, where she commanded warships for a decade. By 2401, she had been teaching at the Andorian War College for years and was considering retirement. Due to the events of Frontier Day that year, Fourth Fleet Command began the reactivation of Achilles, and Vyllen was persuaded to return to Starfleet. She assumed command of Achilles for the second time in 2402, after over twenty years out of Starfleet.

Even for an Andorian, Vyllen has an aggressive personality. She has very little filter and will always say what is on her mind. Having spent twenty years in the Andorian Imperial Guard, her attitudes toward discipline and performance are much more rigid than most Starfleet captains—if she perceives that you are out of line, she will invariably tell you. Like the ship she commands, she favors head-on attacks, both as a starship commander and in her personal life.
