Michael Hanson

Michael was raised on Earth, in the eastern part Canada. He had always hoped to be joining Starfleet as a child hearing stories from relatives that served in Starfleet in the past, this plan though was almost derailed by an accident when he was a child, leading him to become more sheltered and nervous bringing about a desire to almost paralyzing plan all his activities before doing them to ensure that something like that did not occur.

This excessive need for planning brought to him a high deal of book smarts, without a lot of associated street smarts so his plans might look good on paper, lacking the knowledge that comes from taking risks and putting yourself out there, his plans generally tend to contain one if not more flaws. Despite this he did get admitted to Starfleet Academy to fulfill his dream from childhood. It is hoped that through his experience in Starfleet and the academy he will be able to move past his need to excessively plan and being a well rounded member of Starfleet.
