Summary
The second daughter of a small Klingon house, qa’trIS (Katris) was sent by her father to join Starfleet to honour the old alliances and save his daughter from growing unrest at home.
Appearance
Besides the Klingon ridges on her forehead Katris looks relatively human. She stands proudly at 5’9″ tall, her build athletic. Her duality of species is broadcast loudly by her humanesque dark brown wavy hair, white, straight human teeth and soft features.
Personality
Katris’ relatively human appearance can lul those around her into a false sense of security. Katris was raised Klingon inside the Empire and can be rude, tenacious, confrontational and aggressive. Katris doesn’t see these traits as something to be ashamed of but as something to harness to help further her career. Her more difficult tendencies have been harnessed to create a kind yet formidable officer who commands respect.
History
The 2380s was a troubled time for the Klingon Empire. Years of peace made the houses discomforted. Tempers were high and political intrigue bubbled under the surface. For the House of Qennagh (Krennag), times were tough. Krennag’s second wife Alicia was human and was treated with basic erspect but was never accepted and neither was her and Krennag’s daughter, Katris. Struggling to be taken seriously among the denizens of the Empire and becoming ever more human-looking through her teenage years Katris was sent to join Starfleet in 2387. Despite being brought up Klingon Katris was able to adapt and channel her talents and strong emotions into achieving excellence. In 2401 she has been given her first small command to test her mettle as a leader.
