Bravo Fleet
Appearance
Solaris, owing to her unique heritage has pale skin, snow white hair and red eyes. These features are commonly associated with albinism, however this is not a condition the she suffers from. She is otherwise of fairly average height standing at 5’8″ and weighing 120 pounds. Her hair runs down her back, stopping just at the small of her back, though when on duty she often has it tied up in a high ponytail or a bun. She has a thin and lithe build, and carries herself gracefully, and often silently, leading to her accidentally sneaking up of people. She has a light and airy voice with a definite Irish accent.
On duty her preferred uniform often includes Starfleet’s standard uniform with regulation skirt and tall boots unless pants are called for.
Off duty she prefers dresses and high heels over anything else. She also often wears corsets, over the dresses as a form of belt and for support.
Personality
Solaris has a laid back personality, preferring to keep things casual unless otherwise called for. While being more serious on duty, she isnt afraid to make a witty or sarcastic comment.
Off duty she often will spend time reading or playing music.
History
Solaris was born in the city of Belfast on Earth. Her father, James McLaren is the owner of a pub, imaginatively named ‘McLaren’s’. Her mother, Vivian McLaren, owns a small florist’s shop.
As an only child she was a loner, often found reading books or listening to music. During her secondary education she became fascinated with spycraft, reading many books on the subject though most of them romanticized the field, and by the time she had entered high school she had decided to pursue the intelligence field. In addition to this, during her middle and high school careers she began learning to play the trombone and continues to play regularly. In her free time after school, she often helped out at her fathers pub, much to her mothers dismay.
Almost directly after high school, Solaris enrolled in Starfleet Academy.
During her time at the Academy she was a middling student, having found out that the intelligence field wasnt as action packed and romantic as it had been in her books. Her grades weren’t the best, but it was found that she had particular aptitude for espionage. As such she graduated the academy with a major in Intelligence.
Right out of the academy she was assigned as the intelligence officer for the U.S.S. Nightingale, a Nebula-class starship stationed out near the old Romulan neutral zone. She was only aboard that ship a year before being transferred.
She was assigned to the Galaxy-class U.S.S. San Francisco assigned to a sector of space near Starbase 11. She spent several years aboard the San Francisco, eventually rising a position as the ship’s Chief Intelligence Officer.
Eventually she was transferred to the U.S.S. Hood. While an Excelsior-class posting would have been seen as a step down compared to a Galaxy-class posting, the Hood was a legendary vessel, and she was happy to be posted there for its final missions before its decommissioning. She was promoted to Executive Officer shortly before the ship was due to retire and shepherded it back to drydock before it successor was launched.
After her time aboard the Hood, Sol was reassigned to Earth and brought back to her Intelligence roots, overseeing the counter intelligence section at HQ.
